Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) uses low power or 'soft' laser light to aid the natural healing process of the body safely and effectively. It has been used for over 30 years for the treatment of pain, wound healing and musculoskeletal conditions.

LLLT reduces pain and inflammation wherever the light beam is applied and stimulates the healing and repair of tissue. The treatment is painless, non-invasive and drug free.

There are over 3,000 practitioners using LLLT. They include therapists for NASA, the British and US military, Premier Football teams and the British Lions Rugby team.

The Treatment

The light source is placed in contact with the skin and when applied to the affected area it helps to restore normal cell function and stimulate the body’s natural healing process.

Typically a LLLT treatment takes up to 10 minutes and may be applied 2 or more times a week for a patient in acute pain or weekly in less painful situations.

For eye protection safety goggles MUST be worn during treatment by both the patient and the practitioner.
