Neurophysiotherapy
Neurophysiotherapy is a type of Physiotherapy that predominantly focuses on the nervous system. It is decided towards improving the function of patients who have suffered physical impairment by neurological conditions.
Conditions include:
Stroke
Brain Injury
Spine Injury
Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Parkinsons Disease
Vestibular Disorders
Typically neurophysiotherapists use a combination of therapeutic approaches to stimulate the recovery of normal movement. Hands-on therapy techniques and rehabilitation exercises aim to help an individual to re-learn ‘normal’ movement patterns and to interpret sensations appropriately, by stimulating their nervous system in a specific way.
Because of Georgina’s training, she can often help those who are recovering from hip and knee replacements too!
